Well as I told you my beloved X Box died. The dreaded red rings of death found my nearly five year old machine and and shoot it strait through the graphics card.
So I luckily found a sale going at a local store and got and brand spanking new one with a whopping 250 gigs of memory.
I have been saving for such an event and my emergency founds covered the price.
However the helpful folks at "Microshaft" as I call them would not allow me back into my account because I forgot my password I hadn't used in five years but they did stop billing me for the account. Weird logic but OK.
So with new screen name ( a hint at my feeling towards Microshaft) I am back into to the world of Skyrim, GTA, The WWE, and The Kingdom of Kelflings.
I have also step up my game with the amazing gift of a HDMI cable.
The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) cable has made a world of difference in the picture quality.
Skyrim is now even vaster (if such a thing is possible) and the dragons even more impressive. Bethesda Softworks has done it yet again with this game.
This is not a game you sit and play this is a world to get lost in.
Giants, wolfs, wizards, wars, water, politics, and dragons surround you.
Excellent work from a company who has always aimed higher than their last effort.
To bad not all companies can not follow their example.

I hear the sweet gentle sound of rain falling on my roof.
"Rain rain, come and play, please don't leave for many a day."

Ernesto
Well Tropical Storm Ernest is slowly headed west towards Mexico. I hope he stays at tropical storm level and goes in south of us but close enough that we get some rain.
Red Rings of Death
My X Box 360 died. I am trying to decided if it is worth the money to buy a new X Box considering the attitude Microsoft has towards it's customers.
Once they have your money they simple don't give a fuck about you.

What Is Old Is New Again
Had my old yet newest laptop repaired and returned for a cheap price.
Also rediscovered a very old friend online. She is still full of more energy than a stars core.
The heat here is climbing again so the next four or five months will be full of sky high power bills. Add to this hurricane season is back so, so is my high blood pressure.
Between all this and the fact we have a president who hates the disabled it is going to be a fun summer oh boy.
Yes that comment was dripping with sarcasm.

Warming Up
I know it is getting warmer here as the local roach activity is up. I personally just blow on apart with a well place hit of a shoe.
Hopefully we will have a nice freeze next winter to kill off some of the damn things.

Someone Stick Her In Front Of A Cartoon
I'm watching Eureka to get ready for Monday nights new episode of the best show on television.
This is the final season of Eureka. No one seems to know why the best best thing on television is being canceled. Everyone I talk to is either angry or annoyed about the cancellation.
So I will enjoy the final few handful of programs before I am forced to say goodbye to Sheriff Carter, Fargo, Jo, and the rest of the small town with big problems.
Who knows maybe one of the many Save Eureka campaigns may get SYFY to change their minds.

New Enterprise.
I am watching the newish Star Trek film. I want to go on record as stating I do not like the look of the new USS Enterprise. It looks like a cross between a sand crab, a bicycle helmet, and a 1950's Chevy pickup.
In other words it's a mess not a Star Ship.

I'm not going to watch Star Wars Episode I in 3D until I've seen the Star Wars Clone Wars TV series. I prefer to let George Lucas disappoint me in the order he intended.

Big Bang Burnout.
I am suffering from Big Big Theory burnout.
As the show has gone into syndication and the reruns are being shown over and over on channel after channel the formally quirky gang has just gotten sad.
Howard has gone from weirdo who needs a girlfriend to sicko who has an angel of a girlfriend but has no idea how lucky he is.
Sheldon has gone from Mega mind to Mega bore in need of a good bitch slap. Sheldon spends so much time walking around with his own head up his ass you wounder how angry he got Hancock. He has a girlfriend brighter than he is and could not see that fact with both hand and a tricorder.
Leonard is the only human member of the group but I wish he grow a spine.
Penny has gone from cute to a self centered slut who counts on her good looks to get her by.
Priya is a user bitch who uses her looks, her parents, her brother, and Leonard to get things her way.
Raj is sad and becoming a drunk.
I have no complaints with the actors themselves. They are all very talented. It's just that the people they play have stop growing and are turning into a darker version of the younger selves.
Let's hope the Big Bang team bows out with some class, before they get thrown out.

Losing my Mind
Have you ever walked into the kitchen and discovered you have forgotten why you went into the kitchen in the first place?
I been doing that and just moments ago decided to look up something on the net but by the time my computer got loaded up I forgot what I wanted to look up.
This is extremely annoying and makes me wounder how long I'll keep my "right" mind as it where.
And if I lose my mind will I know I have lost it. Will I slowly be tormented with the knowledge that I am losing my grasp as shaky as it is on what some people laughingly call reality.
Raises the Jokers question "Why so grim?"

Star Suck
The purpose of Starbucks is to give people who spend a vast majority of their day being ground under the heels of their so called superiors. They can for a brief moment have the illusion they are in charge of their lives. For a moment or two they can make decisions effecting their live for how ever their over priced coffee lasts. They can vent there frustration on the employees. Of course their is payback. The workers will spit, sneeze, and god knows what other nameless bodily functions into the shrieking customers coffee. Why is would the coffee be so dark in color or hidden on all that foam.
Cowboys Lose
The Dallas Cowboys lost their second preseason game last night.
Dallas Cowboys 7
San Diego Chargers 20
I personally blame Rob Ryan. Anyone who puts that much energy into chewing gum can't be giving the game his undivided attention.

Last night was the first preseason game of the year. Football is back and "The Boys" are off to a good start.
Dallas Cowboys 24
Denver Broncos 23
The Cowboys produced another come from behind win to start the preseason off with.
This means cold weather can't be too far away, Pecans will be tasty again, the holiday season is approaching.
Time to find my Cowboys hat and shirts.
I love this time of year. Goodbye heat hello cold. I want a long cold winter.
Go Cowboys!

Hello Again
Well I fell down again. But a lots has been going on here. Here a brief list of whats been happening on my side of the planet.
As you may know someone predicted that the world would come to an end. Well it didn't. Or did it?
My theory is the world was destroyed and replaced with an exact replica. Exact with one minor difference. In this the new replacement world the Earth is slightly closer to the sun so everything is hotter.
My friends widow has moved back to town and I have been spending time with her and her daughter. They remind me a great deal of how much I miss my friend since his death.
The summertime heat has been grinding me under it heel. I have very little energy and even simple things take tons of energy.
But time seems to be moving along at a quick pace so barring a hurricane soon the cooler months will get here. I am looking forward to that.

Hello Again
An old friend dropped by and hung out for a few days. It was nice having company but having people under feet reminds one why you chose to live by yourself.
This week is my birthday. I have nothing planed. I may sleep the day away. My fathers death has left me very tired.

Good Day Sunshine
Today was a good day. A friend of mine will be in town this weekend and I hope to get to visit with him some.
I also had a real good glazed doughnut today.
I am still playing Red Dead Redemption. I got my first bear and cougar kills in the game.
It was very sunny today and I almost turned the AC on today.

I have been playing Red Dead Redemption. I just today have left the United States and moved into Mexico. This game is a blast to play even though it is as buggy as hell.
I am also trying to disciple my self into working out with my free weights on a daily bases.
My friend Mike was given an egg by a passer by. A just laid still warm egg. Only in America.

Farscape
I am watching a Farscape marathon thanks to my Netfliks account.
Farscape was a science fiction show done by the Jim Henson's Creator Shop.
The show was very adult in nature. The make up effects and special effects where top notch. The scripts where wild compared to Star Trek.
If you get a chance you should give this show a try.

Shaken Not Wrirred
I think I have finally hit upon a good formula for an quality milk shake. I have been adding too much milk. The milk shake I made today was fantastic. It reminded me of the milk shakes I use to get at the pharmacy next to my father store. This milk shake was nice and thick and tasted wonderful.
I will now play with some flavors. I want to try butterscotch and banana.
The weather here has gotten colder. We may have freezes for the next for nights.

We should have another cold snap coming starting Wednesday morning.
I am also watching a new DC Comics movie Superman & Shazam. It looks like a retelling of the life story of Captain Marvel.

Beep Beep
With all this cold weather there has been a very noticeable lack of traffic on my street. This has made sleeping easier. Tomorrow will be the first day of back to more "normal" weather. I am expecting the amount of traffic to go back up to it's usual dull wirr of car and truck engines.
New Record
Today we had a new record low temperature. It was 27 degrees one degree lower than the previous low of 28 set in 1989.
Not A Good Day
I'm feeling horrible. My throat feels like I swallowed broken glass. My head hurts. My eyes are dry. I have had much better days. Last night it got so cold I turned the heater off as it ran constantly, drying out the air making it difficult to breath.
It will warm up over the next few days. Soon the heat of summer will be here making us all miserable. I intend to complain about this summer a great deal. What is the fun of suffering through something if you can't bitch about it.

Another One Down
Today was a cold day.
Currently it is 33 degrees outside. Tonight's low should be 26 degrees.
I am loving this weather.
Friday it seems the whole city will shut down on the day when the cold snap should pass. I will never understand this city's government. I swear one of the past mayors outlawed the use of logic.

Wensday Morning Yawn
It is 25 degrees outside. No birds no crickets no cats making noise. It is very quiet except for the drone of the heater doing its best to make my room warm. I love this weather.

The Cold And Dark
The local news has already report power lines breaking do to the falling temperatures. The power company claims it has teams ready to role if there are more reports of power outages.
Airlines have canceled several flights.

Frozen Hearts
It is currently 35 degrees. We are expecting days of below 50 weather. It may even snow before the cold snap is done.
I am watching "A Man For All Seasons." I also have four episodes of "Northern Exposure" to watch as well.
I played the new James Bond game. It was good but just good. The audio was muddy. The graphics where nicely done but not special. A good game. Just that and nothing more.

New Net Same Fish
I had a quiet day today. Mostly I slept. I did reactivate my Net Flix account.
I watched the new Justice League cartoon.
I miss my dad.
Then again I miss my mom and my cats too.
I thought a lot about Bill and Mookie my cats.
Bill would rather spend time with my dad than me but Mookie just wanted to be someplace where the action was. As far as he was concerned our jobs where to entertain him. Mookie would sit on my bed and watch e work on my computer.
I also miss my dog Wag.

Shaken Not Stired
I just made my first milk shake with my brand new milk shake blender I got for Christmas.
Frontal Attack
A cold front just moved in. Wonderful thunder and lighting. Pouring rain and the tempature is going down. I love this kind of weather.
Yesterday was a sad day for me as I took delivery of my fathers ashes.
Presently he is sitting in his office.
Per his instructions I will spread his ashes out in the flower beds as he has asked.
For now he can be at rest. And he is missing all the cold weather he loathed so much.

Tonight I have no natural gas to run my heater.
I small leak was found in the meter in the back yard. There is also another leak that has yet to be dealt with.
My father health to a bad turn today as well.
At least it is not extremely cold. I just hope the cold weather lasts a few more months.

Day Two The Search Goes On
Well day two of the new year had less bad news.
I found the remote to my fan, the OLD fan not the new one in my bed room. Luckily it has been so wonderfully cold I haven't needed to turn on the fan. But I did put the old fan and it's found remote in the kitchen for when it starts to get hot again.

Today I discovered my dish washer is not working.
Oh well at least it is not leaking.
I missed the New Years countdown as I was napping and not paying attention to the time.
Let us hope the new year brings better times and old true blue friends and new good friends.

Stuck In Your Teeth
Today was one of those days that get stuck in your teeth. Like those tasty puffy Cheetos that taste so good but you spend the rest of the day sucking bits of them out of your teeth.
It wasn't a bad day it was mostly nice but just kept going on and on.
It got unseasonably warm. Up to 82 degrees. It should get cooler for New Years.
I did brave my way to the grocery store and even saw my one of my favorite cab drivers.
New Years Eve.
I just want it to stay cooler for a few more months. The smaller my power bills is the more I can use to get out of the debt my fathers ailing health has put me in.

The Day After
I how up to a house with a temperature around 66 degrees. I forgot to turn the heater on over night. I have the heater on and the house is at 74 degrees.
My heart has been pounding off and on all day.
I will miss the Christmas music and the Christmas smiles.
It won't take long for me to have the house undecorated for Christmas and I don't have anything for the New Year to put up.

Scary Day Silent Night
Today started out nice. I got out of the house and saw Santa. But when I got home the power went out and I got too hot. For a while I thought I may have to call an ambulance. But I did fall asleep and the power came back on. So I woke up to a hot house and had to turn the air conditioner on to cool things down. Now I am waiting for Santa but he is sending a cold front ahead of him. It is raining a wonderful cool winter rain out side and the temperature is slowly going down.
I doubt there will be any snow as there was in 2004 but I more than welcome the cooler temperatures.

It is another hot day here but it should get cooler for Christmas. However the chances of snow are from zero to zilch.

Slow Down You Move To Fast
It is December 21 and winter is flying by way to fast for my taste. Soon the heat will start up and hurricane season will return with all the stress that entails.
I want time to slow down.
I want the Christmas music to last.
I want cold weather and snow. Fat chance living in a city that has the same atmosphere as the mouth of hell.
On the other hand The Dallas Cowboys seem to have their stride back. Too late and to long. Why did it take so long to wake up and clean out the trash polluting the team?
So I am stuck with an ocean of money troubles and a bad heart. More heat and misery to come.
In the mean time I will enjoy the Christmas music and what little cold weather we get down here at the pimple on the black head of the ass of the cosmos.

As long as any government has unbridled control of the way people can communicate there will be warfare.
The Good Old Ways
Some one asked me what it would take to get me to go back to a theater to see a movie. 3D, better audio, what? My answer. Outlaw other people. Screaming kids, feuding couples, cell phone idiots, and loud talkers. I want to get my drink popcorn, sit down and watch the film in a cool theater without having to put up with anyone's crap.

Yesterday
Yesterday was a hard day.
I have had worse but it was such a good day to start with then turn bad.
It is hot here and getting hotter.
After doing some stuff outside in the heat my heart started pounding and I kept trying to lay down and cool off but outside forces kept demanding my attention.
I can not wait for hurricane season to be over with even though it goes on to November. Actually I can't wait for September to get here and for things to start cooling off.

Time For Your Morning Heart Attack Sir
Last Thursday I woke up to my heart racing at a break neck speed to parts unknown.
By the time the cab got here and we got to the emergency room it was seven am. Just as I walked in one of four ambulances showed up carrying someone having a heart attack.
I learned later that seven in the morning seems to be time to have a heart attack. Everyone is waking up and getting ready for what ever the day holds. So they are placing their once happily sleeping hearts under stress and as a result are having a heart attack.
So after the paper work a nurse took me to a bed where I laid and listen to my heart do its impression of a warp engine in over drive. I also got to listen to a woman fighting to breath, a guy coughing up a small portion of his lung and two elder people having their morning heart attacks. After almost half an hour plus a nurse came in and did more paperwork. Took blood samples and Finally gave me some oxygen. half an hour later a doctor came in and we talked a bit and he announces "Your heart rate is almost normal so now I am waiting to hear from your doctor. Can I get you anything?"
I asked for a cold Sprite remembering Doctor Cooley telling me if I felt bad I should have one as they did good things for me.
I never had a better tasting Sprite.
A short while later filled with another ambulance showing up and a visit from a friendly janitor who moped up the floor with a big smile on his face.
Finally the doctor shows up again and announces I am low on Magnesium so they will give my some via IV drip. The doc stayed a bit longer and we talked a bit. The nurse set up the IV and left me to watch the clock.
The nurse came in unhooked me and had me sign even more paper work. And with that my big scare was over.
The whole miss adventure took three hours.

Update
Well I missed a whole month last month. So here an update to tell you what been going on.
Last month the 23rd was my birthday. It was quiet except for going to the big HEB grocery store. There was a birthday party for me in yo ville that Sunday night.
Other than yo ville cyber items the only birthday presents where the ones my friend Nancy sent me. She sent me a Dallas Cowboys t shirt and some home made bread and smart balance popcorn. My cousin came down and spent the day with me. He did a few little choirs for me and we got to talk some.
I been enjoying the cold weather but sadly it is coming to an end It will soon heat up and I will be miserable yet again.

A Pony Tail Between Friends
For the first time in months and months I wound up in the ER. My heart was racing at a rate of 187 beat per minute.
This was scary.
I went to the wrong ER meaning I went to a different one than I usually do. I was one of two people there. They wasted no time getting to work on me.
They give me two shots that did nothing. Then after some talking to the ER doctor they gave me a third shot. It made it hard to breath for about two seconds then my heart started to slow down. After that they just watched me and we joked around.
One nurse offered to cut off my pony tail.
They where all very sweet and gentle.

Blue Monday
Monday was spent making heavy decisions without any heavy lifting. I contacted a church to see if I could find some help with keeping the house clean. There are people who will help but they want 50 dollars. I don't have 50 dollars to spend.
I still have yet to make the funeral arrangements. I am not looking forward to doing this.
A friend of mine was thought to have committed suicide. Thankfully he has not.

What Men Are Thinking
1. Men are NOT mind readers.
1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.
1. Crying is blackmail.
1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one! Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!
1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.
1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.
1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.
1. You can either ask us to do something Or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.
1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials.
1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.
1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not A color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have NO idea what mauve is.
1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.
1. If we ask what is wrong and you say 'nothing,' We will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.
1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really!
1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball or golf.
1. You have enough clothes.
1. You have too many shoes.
1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape!
1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know I have to sleep on the couch tonight; But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping

Looking For Einstein Cars Keys
The Large Hadron Collider costs over 6 billion dollars is 17 miles in circumference and buried 320 feet under ground and was shut down because a bird lost his baguette.
I think this thing find Murphy's Law particles.

Sure As I'm Sittin' Here
Today was another panic ridden day. One near disaster after another.
I have reached a decision. One of the things that is driving me to depression is how dark the house is. I think I will find some rope lights and wrap them around the door frame in the kitchen. Some nice cool blue light in the kitchen in stead of the darkness that now lives there.

Brush Your Self Off
Wow. I really fell down there. This post a day stuff is harder than you would think.
OK here what has been going on. I have been working on trying to get my dad set up so he could live out the rest of his days without worries.
Or maybe I been trying to set it up so he could live out the rest of his days with out my worrying about him. I do not know which.
In any case after a very long week and scary week last week I feel better about things. I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel but I know there is an en to it.

Flash Back
I spent part of today thinking about the last show I did when I was doing TV production.
It was a music video show case with a religious flavor. The host who I am still great friends with would sit on a stool with a blinding light less than a yard away burn white hot strait into his eyes. Every light in the studio was on and most of them where aimed at the wall behind him. We would "chroma key" him into a back ground composed of a painting I did on a computer.
The switcher would remove the blue wall he was sitting in front of and by a bit of electronic wizardry replace the wall with what ever I choose. I was occasionally tempted to place him in front of on coming traffic, in deep space, or underwater with a shark swimming strait at him. He would not know until he saw the finished shot. But my self control won out.
So there he would sit there being blinded by a light, discussing the importance of a belief in God and in yourself. I wounder how about a belief in some good sunglasses.
The last show was melodically. Not only was this our final show together, and we knew it, weather or not we discussed it. But this was the final show for the studio. The nextday they would knock down walls and place in a bank of telephone lines.
After the shot we eited the show together. We talked about all the memories we had of the studio and the people who worked there. Once done we turneed the finished product in and cleaned up the studio. Everything went as usal untill I had to turn the lights off. I stood there for a few seconds looking at all the old and outdated equipmnet. It may have been old but we could do some damn impressive things with it.
I miss that clunky old studio.
More over I miss the people.
Some sadly have died. Some have drifted off in time, other I still talk to, one has become the closet thing I have to a brother and another is now a grand friend.
We did some amazing things in that old studio.

A Creature Of The Night
I am a creature of the night. I like the night. It is cooler and quieter. There is no one calling you trying to sell you some useless item you neither need or want. There in no one pounding on your door wanting your opinion on one topic or the other. There are no trucks trundling down your street rattling your windows.
Unfortunately the night dose not last. The daylight lovers will soon show theme selves. They wait behind the sun drumming their fingers on their desktops. Impatiently demand that you pay them. Demanding your fear, your sweat, and your tears.

New Year 2
Had a quiet day of the new year. I watched the new episode of Doctor Who in which they have said good bye to the old Doctor and we met the new actor who will play the doctor.
Other than that things where very quiet here.

New Years Daze
Today was the first day of the new year. It has been nice and cold and I felt pretty good.
I been working slowly on my office throwing out tons of old paperwork I no longer need. I hope by the end of the week to have the room sorted out so its easier to use and more organized.
I have the week end off but have tons of things for next week. I have to take the cable box and modem back to the cable company. That means standing in line. I hate that. By the time I'll be done with that I'll be so tired I won't have any energy left.
I also want to see if I can find any free transportation for the disabled. Cab fare is killing me fiscally.
So far the new year is going well. I hope by the end of the week I have all this paper work sorted out it seems to be taking forever.

Merry Christmas
The magi, as you know, were wise men--wonderfully wise men--who brought gifts to the Babe in the manger. They invented the art of giving Christmas presents. Being wise, their gifts were no doubt wise ones, possibly bearing the privilege of exchange in case of duplication. And here I have lamely related to you the uneventful chronicle of two foolish children in a flat who most unwisely sacrificed for each other the greatest treasures of their house. But in a last word to the wise of these days let it be said that of all who give gifts these two were the wisest. O all who give and receive gifts, such as they are wisest. Everywhere they are wisest. They are the magi.

Snow Is The Least Of Their Troubles
Meet the people who live in a snow globe.
They go about their lives snowboarding and building a snowman. Then YOU show up. Shake up their little world.

X Mas
I have been studying the Christmas decorations.
I have reach the conclusion that I will not decorate this year. My father is not here and he is the one that loved the tree.
I simply do not have the strength or energy to put up a tree. Everything else is stored up so high that I can not reach them.
I guess this year my motto is Merry X Mas: Go Scrooge Yourself.

Today
Today sucked.
I am worried if I will really get any help with all this stuff.
Everyone seem to have a reason not to help. I cant afford to hire anyone.
Maybe I should just sell the house and set up a trust to take care of my dad. Once that is done I could just blow my funking head off and be done with it.

Thankful
I thought I would post weekly a wrap up of my week so I could remember it.
Here what I ma happy for this week.
I am not in the hospital.
My friend is helping me with all the paperwork.
My copy of COD Modern Warfare 2 arrived faster than I thought.
The pecans have hit the stores.
The radishes are big this year.
My neighbors.
I got two cool cab drivers.
Things that make me unhappy this week.
The fact I had to pay 0.44 cents in due postage because some idiot at some office does not know how to read a postage meter.
The price of cab fare.

November Rain
I had no trick or treaters. Well actually I had no candy to give away so I didn't answer the door.
I hope we get some cold weather soon. However it is nice a cool here finally. Fall has settled in and so should winter the few days it lasts here.
